Plain definitions for the core Quatrion terms used across these docs.

Terms

Q-Agent Workbench
The native desktop cockpit where engineers load models, ask the agent, run workflows, and review evidence.
Spatial Brain
The reusable, model-aware spatial reasoning layer built from an assembly so agents can query geometry repeatedly.
Encoded assembly
The prepared, query-ready artifact produced from a CAD assembly; the working substrate agents query during a run.
Query cache
The compact cache generated from a source assembly that agents read instead of re-processing CAD for every question.
First-pass triage
Fast, evidence-linked screening that helps decide what deserves expert review next; not final validation.
Reference agent
A starting pattern for a bounded review question that returns geometry-linked evidence.
Feature recipe
An editable, replayable program of typed CAD operations that produces geometry, rather than a frozen mesh.
Edit session
A bounded create / preview / apply / undo workflow for editing an imported or generated model.
Capability pack
An authored bundle of agents, tools, and recipes that packages a repeatable engineering workflow.
Deterministic tool
A repeatable measurement or geometry tool whose output does not depend on a language model's guess.
Solver-backed analysis
A workflow that runs a real engineering solver (FEA, forming, or CFD) behind a trust-graded result.
Trust signal
The readiness, confidence grade, and boundary returned with a result so a reviewer can judge it.
Confidence grade
A graded indication of how much weight a result should carry, rather than an unqualified number.
Provenance
The inputs, tool chain, and geometry references recorded behind a finding.
Replay
Re-running a captured run from its recorded inputs and configuration to reproduce or compare results.
Evidence
Geometry-linked findings — part IDs, surfaces, measurements, overlays — tied back to the model.
Constraint graph
The network of mates, contacts, alignments, and clearance relationships between parts.
Proximity graph
Adjacency and proximity relationships between parts used for spatial reasoning. Not a claim of physical isolation or compliance.
Editability score
A signal describing how editable a reconstructed solid is, surfaced alongside the feature program.
Bill of materials (BOM)
The list of bodies or parts that make up a generated multi-body solid.
Provider-neutral
Designed so model provider, storage, identity, and runtime are operator-configured rather than hardcoded.
Local-first
A posture where raw CAD can stay inside a configured local or private boundary.
